Headmaster Engelking has developed numerous hands-on training classes for the HVAC Training School. As a former HVAC contractor and professional engineer, he brings a practical and varied background and experience into the class room. He has been teaching for over a dozen years, is a certified Vo-Tec Instructor in the State of WA, has technical articles published in national trade magazines, and holds several refrigeration patents pending. He is the former Educational VP of Seattle RSES, served on the Board of Examiners for City of Seattle Refrigeration Licensing Board, and is active in many community activities including Boy Scouts and the Hunters' Education Programs. Ben Engelking has over 25 years in engineering, contracting, field experience and teaching. Qualifications

Dale A. in this office. Dale Averson, Associate Instructor:

Service manager of a progressive HVAC/R Company, Dale teaches Gas Service and ACR Fundamentals. Practical, to the point, and technically competent, he is an excellent teacher in customer service. Dale has assisted in the development of HVAC test equipment and tools.  10 years field experience.  Always has a smile.

Duke - furnace instructor Duke Giraud, Associate Instructor:

Former student, successful owner of an HVAC service company.  Services gas furnaces and residential AC.  Assists in teaching  Gas Service and ACR Fundamentals.  Brings recent field experience to the classroom.  Two years teaching experience.  A good guy to learn from. 
Steve - checking a "bug" Steve Schutt, Associate Instructor:   

Lead service technician and owner of a progressive HVAC company.  Steve has a "go-get 'em " attitude. Great people skills, with over 10,000 service calls so far during his career. He is an excellent one-on-one instructor in the Gas Service classes.  With five years teaching experience, he helps you to understand troubleshooting as he walks you through some of the "bugs" on the school's furnaces. Owner/operator of a successful HVAC service company.

Lead HVAC technician, Everett School District. 20 years mechanical background, instruction in gas furnace troubleshooting. Two years teaching experience. Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills that he shares with students on a one-on-one basis.
